City of Mentor Community Development Block Grant Program
Public Hearing For FY2016 and Reprogramming of Funds Notice
Notice is hereby given that the City of Mentor will hold a Public Hearing, the purpose of which is to distribute FY2016 Grant Applications and inform citizens and public service providers regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program which is made available to the City from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and also to notify citizens regarding the reprogramming of previously unspent CDBG funds.
The Public Hearing will provide an opportunity for citizen input and comments to be received regarding the City’s community development needs and priorities for the use of CDBG funds. FY2016 Grant Applications will be available and information concerning eligible and ineligible activities and uses of Grant funding will be discussed.
Previously unspent funds from FY2014 in the amount of $71,000 will be reprogrammed into the FY2015 Action Plan for the following activities: FY15 ADA Handicapped Sidewalk Ramps, $51,000 and also FY15 Mentor Economic Assistance Corporation Small Business Loan Fund, $20,000.
The Public Hearing is open to the public and will be held at Mentor Municipal Center City Hall, 8500 Civic Center Boulevard on March 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. This facility is ADA compliant; if you require special accommodations please notify us prior to the meeting and arraignments will be made.
