Summer fun begins today as Mentor Civic Center Pool and Walsh Spray Park open for the season.
CIVIC CENTER POOL
Civic Center Pool is Mentor’s premier water facility and features a heated Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool, with zero-depth entry, lap lanes, 12’ Kersplash climbing walls, Giant Wibit inflatable obstacle course, splashpad, wireless internet access, and bathhouse with restrooms and change facilities. The pool deck is surrounded by lawn and areas of shade and lounge chairs.
Daily admission for those 3 and up, $10 each. Season passes are available for sale and offer great value.
Mentor Civic Outdoor Pool is open daily from 1 PM – 8 PM through August 12, 2023. The pool is located at 8500 Munson Road.
WALSH SPRAY PARK
Walsh Spray Park is a brightly-colored 3,000 square foot facility includes three large ground sprays, two interactive elephant water guns, a donut spray, two action bollards, a flower shower, sunflower spray, and family-friendly restrooms.
The self-activated sprays allow young children to turn the water on for themselves. Children need to be supervised by adults as there are no lifeguards or supervisors in the park. For the safety of all users, swim diapers must be worn by children who are not yet toilet trained. Instructions and rules are posted. Walsh Spray Park is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM and is free to park users. The park is located at 7221 Bellflower Road.
SEASON PASSES
Season Passes are available for sale Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Mentor Community Recreation Center, 6000 Heisley Road, 2nd floor Parks and Recreation Offices.
Season Pass renewals can be done by calling (440) 974-5720 if you still have your 2022 season pass. New memberships or those who no longer have their 2022 season pass will need to purchase in person.
Family memberships are for immediate family members residing at the same address only. A family shall be considered an adult couple and their unmarried children, under age 18, residing in the family home. Nieces, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, etc., will not be included in the family membership even if they reside at the same address.
To qualify for the Mentor resident rate, you must establish proof of residency by bringing a current utility bill showing your name and address AND photo identification at the time of purchase. No exceptions.
