SEPTEMBER 11 STAIR CLIMB
This commemorative event will be held at the Mentor Community Recreation Center on September 11, 2025, beginning at 8:46 AM in honor of the first responders and in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the tragic events on September 11, 2001. Participants will ascend 110 stories (2,200 steps), the height of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, on one of our StairMasters. Pre-registration is required, and participants can select a wave (3 people per wave). Come decked out in your patriotic gear. Donations for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation are welcome at www.firehero.org. Price is per person: Member: $8 / Nonmember: $10. Ages 18+
JUST KIDS STUFF GARAGE SALE
The popular Just Kid’s Stuff Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Garfield Park Pavilion. This is the biggest sale of children’s items around and brings out dozens of vendors and hundreds of savvy shoppers. For additional information or to register for a space, call 440-974-5720. Space rental is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents. Admission is free for shoppers.

The Lake County Solid Waste District will conduct a special collection of hazardous waste on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lake County Fairgrounds located at 1301 Mentor Avenue. Learn more.
