Cloth Face Mask Coverings
The CDC now recommends that Americans wear cloth face coverings (masks) in public to help slow the spread of COVID-19. This recommendation is being made based on studies that show a significant proportion of people with COVID-19 lack symptoms and can transmit the virus to others in close proximity, through speaking, coughing, sneezing or other means. Instructions for making DIY face coverings – including “no-sew” options are available.  Learn more.

Respond to the Census…Make Mentor Count
If you haven’t completed the Census yet, please take the opportunity to do so today. When you respond to the census, you help ensure that Mentor gets its fair share of the more than $675 billion per year in federal funds spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs. Results of the Census also help how determine how many seats each state gets in Congress. State and local officials also use census counts to draw boundaries for congressional, state legislative, and school districts. Participating in the census isn’t just a chance to make a difference in our community, it’s also the law.

Concerns Over “Stay at Home” Order Compliance
Concerns regarding compliance to the Stay at Home Order in Lake County may be reported to the Lake County General Health District at COVID19@lcghd.org or 440-350-2188. Individuals seeking anonymity are encouraged to report via telephone. Due to an increased volume of inquiries, and the need to consult with Ohio Department of Health and legal expertise, it may take up to 48 hours to respond and/or resolve a complaint.
