The City of Mentor and the Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority have partnered to issue a Request for Proposals to find a qualified party to redevelop pavilion at Mentor Beach Park as a restaurant that will be a lakefront destination.
The pavilion has a main floor, a basement, and a subbasement, and proposals which maximize use of the space on all three levels will be given preference. The building is built into the lakefront bluff such that the southern entrance to the main floor is at ground level, but the subbasement is at ground level on the north side. This makes it possible to construct outdoor decks on both the main level and basement level that would have lake views.
