Mentor residents are advised that the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (CMNH) will resume spraying and cutting of phragmites in the Mentor Marsh in the coming weeks as a part of their ongoing invasive species management program.
The treatment schedule is as follows:
Week of Monday August 15
West basin follow-up: Several Argo amphibious vehicles will be spraying the remnant phrag.
Tuesday, August 23rd
West basin follow-up: Helicopter spraying 60 acres. East basin: Helicopter spraying 370 acres
Week of Monday September 12
East basin: 84 acres of perimeter only mashing and spraying.
CMNH is providing surrounding homeowners with a frequently asked questions sheet as well as a program overview sheet.
