Most believe that law enforcement should be held to a high standard and the Mentor Police Department agrees. Which is why they are seeking the best candidates in the region to join their team. All interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. If you haven’t attended the police academy, that’s ok – Mentor PD is willing to pay your tuition.

The Mentor Police Department seeks to hire five full-time police officers in 2023. The department offers competitive pay, as well as medical, dental and vision benefits, retirement plan, and deferred comp plan.

Candidates are required to complete an application, as well as take the National Testing Network’s Law Enforcement Frontline National Exam, to be considered for the eligibility list. Test scores will be accepted from exams taken between March 13, 2022, to March 13, 2023, only.

Deadline for submission is Monday, March 13, 2023.
