Protect & Serve Tavern
Mentor Police, along with other local law enforcement agencies, will be participating in the 29th Annual Protect & Serve Tavern on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from noon – 3:00 p.m. at the Great Lakes Mall, located at 7850 Mentor Avenue in Mentor. This event will help remind folks of Lake County – and beyond – to drive sober this holiday season.
Holiday Open Skates

Kids Corner Christmas Party
The Mentor Community Recreation Center will be hosting a holiday party for kids 3 – 10 on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Community Room. Enjoy refreshments, photo opp, games, and crafts. $10 for members. $12 for non-members. Pre-registration is required by calling (440) 205-3608 or by visiting the Front Desk. The rec center is located at 6000 Heisley Road.
City Council Special Meeting
Mentor City Council has scheduled a special meeting at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to enter into executive session to discuss pending litigation.
Yard Waste Pickup Extended One Week
Due to the amount of snow our community has received, the curbside yard waste program has been extended for one week and will now end on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Porch Pirates
Mentor Police will be on the prowl for porch pirates again this holiday season. Officers will be operating throughout city neighborhoods utilizing a variety of tools including unmarked vehicles, surveillance equipment, and the use of bait boxes that contain GPS tracking units.

Wildwood Holiday Open House
Wildwood Cultural Center is dressed up in its holiday finest. Take a self-guided tour of the decorated 1908 manor house through January 10, 2025. Access to the home free and open to the public Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For additional information, call (440) 974-5735.
Mentor Senior Center Newsletter
The January-April 2025 MSC Newsletter is now available for download. An annual membership is required to participate in programs, and to use the facility. Membership is affordable and open to everyone aged 55+. Learn more at mentorseniorcenter.com.
