The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased to 3.9% for the month of March 2019. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.2%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased to 4.2% from 4.7% for the month of March.
The City of Mentor has announced the appointment of Captain Kenneth K. Gunsch as the city’s new Police Chief. Gunsch will replace current Mentor Police Chief, Kevin Knight, who is retiring on May 31st after 37 years with the force.
