A number of other hiking opportunities with varying degrees of difficulty exist throughout the City, particularly around the Mentor Marsh where nature lovers can explore the outdoors at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina and the Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve.

In fact, the 1,400 Buckeye Trail makes its way through Mentor en route to the Northeast Terminus at Headlands Beach State Park…and, the City of Mentor is proud of its status as a Buckeye Trail Town.
