The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased to 3.4% for the month of September 2019.  One year ago, the unemployment rate was 3.8%.  In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased to 3.6% from 3.7% for the month of September.

The City of Mentor’s unemployment rate is the second lowest at 3.4% among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more. Lakewood has the lowest unemployment rate of 3.3%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased by 200 to 26,800.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.1% to 4.1% for the month of September.
