The Mentor Police Department has announced new parking restrictions near the Mentor Civic Center Complex.
In recent years, popularity of the Mentor Rocks summer concert series and other events has resulted in overflow parking along medians, sidewalks, and near intersections. Parking in these places creates a visual barrier for both motorists and pedestrians, and can potentially delay deployment of Mentor safety forces in the event of an emergency.
Motorists are instructed to observe the NO PARKING signs as per MCO 351.03 and utilize the paved lots at the Mentor Municipal Center, Civic Center Park, Mentor Fire Station 5, Mentor Senior Center, and Mentor High School.
The upcoming Fourth of July celebration is expected to draw a large crowd. Please provide ample time to secure your parking space. Additional parking will also be available on the ballfields for this event, weather permitting.
Vehicles parked in a No Parking zone are subject to ticketing.
