Mentor Police Department Crime Prevention Tips

The Mentor Police Department will offer a presentation on “Preventing Senior Scams” at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Mentor Senior Center.

The program is designed to educate seniors about common scams and how to protect themselves. Presenters will review common types of scams, red flags to watch out for, and prevention tips, as well as offer resources to attendees for further investigation.  This presentation is open to the public, but registration is required by calling (440) 974-5725.

The Mentor Police Department is committed to the safety and education of its residents and business community.  The Crime Prevention Unit provides community services such as business and home security surveys and prevention tips on robbery, theft, fraud against the elderly, and financial fraud.

The Mentor Senior Center is located at 8484 Munson Road in Mentor.
