The City of Mentor owns and operates a number of facilities which includes 13 parks consisting of over 1,200 acres. Facilities are open to the public and are also available for rental.
The City of Mentor owns and operates the Black Brook Golf Course & Practice Center. This beautiful 8-hole public course features watered fairways, paved cart paths, a practice putting green and a new practice center with ten target greens, practice bunker and 1-1/2 acre tee area. The clubhouse has a fully stocked Pro Shop and snack bar with an attached pavilion for catered outings.
The course offers golf schools, private lessons and a Junior Golf League serving more than 100 young golfers each summer. Black Brook offers a variety of leagues for men, women, coed, couples and juniors. Learn more.

The Mentor Senior Center is a thriving meeting place for senior citizens of all ages and currently has more than 5,000 members. Full use of the facility is available to anyone age 55 and older. More than 10,000 people participate in Mentor Senior Center activities and programs annually.
This vibrant 22,000 square foot facility features a library, billiards room, computer room, fitness studio with aerobic and strength training equipment, arts and crafts room, health service room, meeting rooms, kitchen, main hall with stage, and an inviting lobby and reception area with double-face fireplace. Originally constructed as Mentor Christian Church in 1856, the building was moved to its current location and served for a number of years as Mentor Township Hall.
